About me
A few facts to help you get to know me

PageTitle

Hi, I am Stuart Moors.

It's true that I was not born on St.Helena, so in the strictest sense of the word, I cannot claim to be a Saint. However, having been married to Brenda (a teacher at St.Pauls Primary School) for over 30 years, and having taken up residence 4 years ago in the house we built in Alarm Forest, I consider this to be my permanent physical and spiritual home.

You will probably already know me from the time that I was the CEO and Editor of the St.Helena News Media Services (The St.Helena Herald and Radio St.Helena), which was my first appointment when coming to live here. Or you may have come across me when I was contracted to install the system in PW&SD to create the utility bills - a job I was ideally suited to do because my career has hitherto been focused on Software Engineering. But at the moment, I am most likely to cross paths with you in relation to the reading of your electricity and water meters, because I currently manage the little company called Prime Numbers, which reads the meters every quarter and passes the information to SHG.

To keep my software engineering skills honed, I also provide IT support services under the name of SHEDS (St.Helena Electronic Data Services), and creating websites is becoming quite a common task for me these days.

For about two and half years, I have been a member of the Chamber of Commerce, first as both Secretary and Treasurer, and now as Treasurer. I also serve as Secretary for the St.Helena St. Andrew Society (a society devoted to sharing the culture of Scotland with the people of St.Helena.
